Lafayette Fire Relief Fund
Thanks to the generosity of the community, LCF has collected more than $30,000 to help those businesses destroyed in the Lafayette Circle fire. To date, we have made two distributions of funds to the affected businesses and plan on a third distribution soon. If you are still interested in donating to the fund, please follow the instructions below.
The devastating fire that ripped through 100 Lafayette Circle on July 13, 2017, destroyed several Lafayette businesses including, Lafayette Chamber of Commerce, La Finestra restaurant, Suite102 Hair Design, Paul the Tutor’s Education Center, Skincare by Marta, Lamor Permanent Cosmetics, Marion Iles, CPA, Marilee Stark, PhD, Johana Marie McShane, PhD, Morenike Oshi-Ojuri, PhD, Patricia E.Craven, LMFT, SEP, and Anne Karcher, PhD.
LCF has created a general Fire Relief Fund to assist the businesses that were affected by the fire. The money collected will help cover expenses that will not be covered by insurance and help those businesses get back up and running as quickly as possible. This fund will remain active until December 31, 2017.
Donate here now or send a check to: Lafayette Community Foundation, P.O. Box 221, Lafayette, CA 94549. When writing a check, please indicate that your donation is for the Fire Relief Fund. Please do not specify a particular business as IRS rules do not allow donations to be designated for specific individuals.
