Help Bring More Parks and Public Recreation Spaces to Lafayette
The Community Foundation is pleased to announce a partnership with the City of Lafayette to raise and hold funds in trust for the Downtown Park Fund to be designated in the future.
The Downtown Park Fund will help the City acquire downtown property for many possible types of parks and public recreation spaces within the Downtown Planning Area Zone, including but not limited to:
- Active Parks
- Passive Parks
- Community Parks
- Play Areas
- Dog Parks
- Neighborhood Parks
- Downtown Parks
- Sport Facilities
The Community Foundation will collect donations, pledges, and contact information from local community members interested in bringing parks of many kinds to downtown Lafayette.
Donations to the Downtown Park Fund are tax deductible, through the Community Foundation of Lafayette. The Community Foundation has no say in parkland acquisition or planning, and is acting only as “the bank” for donations.
