Mary Newman
Mary and her husband, Scott, moved to Lafayette 25 years ago where they raised their three children. Mary was born and raised in the Bay Area, and after completing her undergraduate degree from UC Berkeley, she earned her Masters in Real Estate at Golden Gate University. She worked in commercial real estate in finance for both private and public companies. A dedicated mother and community member, Mary turned her energy to supporting her community and the local public schools. Mary joins the Lafayette Community Foundation with years of volunteer experience as a former member of the Lafayette Juniors and St Luke’s Auxiliary (Children’s Health Guild) and co-chair of the Lafayette K-8 Parcel Tax Campaign and the Lafayette Library Launch Event, as well as co-president of the Acalanes Parents Club. Mary is enthusiastic about becoming a Community Foundation board member and working with incredibly dedicated members to further enhance the Lafayette community.
