Mindy Bush
Mindy attended UC Berkeley and spent her early career in sales at Xerox in SF, Compaq Computer in Munich and a manufacturer’s rep firm in LA. She and her husband, Bill, moved to Lafayette in 2002. Their three kids, Tommy, Charlie, and Susie attended Lafayette schools and are now all out of college. Mindy was an active volunteer in the schools, sports teams, Girl Scouts, church and in the community during the years her kids were home. Her experience included positions as board chair, treasurer, event chair, fundraising, secretary and volunteer recruitment.
More recently, Mindy has become a regular, active volunteer with White Pony Express (WPE), a food rescue organization serving Contra Costa County. Mindy discovered WPE at a Community Foundation fundraising event and has been volunteering there since. In the last year and a half, Mindy has been serving on the WPE Development Board, writing grants and advising on fundraising and donor cultivation. Mindy is also a board member of the Episcopal Impact Fund, the philanthropic arm of the Diocese of CA. It is primarily a grant-making organization working to address the root causes of poverty, with a focus on housing. Mindy serves on the program committee, evaluating and recommending grants to the board.
